We enjoy working with the younger generation. Flagstaff is the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flagstaffstemcity.com\/\">first STEM community in America<\/a>. We are committed to working with local students to support and promote STEM education<\/p><\/div>\n<div class='content-column one_half last_column'><p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-141 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cardiolab.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/outreach-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.cardiolab.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/outreach-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.cardiolab.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/outreach-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.cardiolab.nau.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/outreach-1024x768.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class='clear_column'><\/div>\n<h3>Flagstaff Festival of Science:<\/h3>\n<p>Dr. Arzani&#8217;s talk at Flagstaff Festival of Science (9\/26\/18) about &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scifest.org\/event\/using-computers-to-assess-disease-risk\/\">Using computers to assess disease risk<\/a>&#8221; was very well received by the general audience.<\/p>\n<h3>Full STEAM Ahead:<\/h3>\n<div class='content-column one_half'><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As part of STEM CITY&#8217;s Full STEAM Ahead program, Dr. Arzani led a workshop for 7th Grade students of Sinagua Middle School&#8217;s MIT-e program (Middle School Institute of Technology and Engineering).
